Welcome to Architect documentation
Architect supplies AI agents that integrate with an existing RTL-to-GDS flow as a coordination and automation layer. This documentation explains how to connect Architect to your EDA toolchain, configure the agent pipeline, and use its file formats and API contracts.
Architecture overview
The Architect platform has three agents operating in sequence over a shared design state:
Takes a synthesis netlist, timing constraints (SDC) and technology LEF. Runs place-and-route to completion, producing a placed-and-routed DEF and preliminary SPEF parasitics.
Reads Layout Agent output and runs DRC, LVS and STA. Returns structured violations.json with root-cause annotations, severity classifications and affected timing paths for each violation.
Processes the violation report, applies automated fixes to remediable violations, retries constrained sub-regions for heuristic cases, and produces an escalation report for violations needing human judgment.
Supported file formats
Architect reads and writes standard EDA interchange formats. No proprietary format is required:
