Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Architect, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") runs architcetlabs.com (the "Site") and the Architect platform, an AI-driven service for custom silicon design automation (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes information collected through the Site and Platform, how we handle it, and the options available to you.

Our service handles chip design materials from semiconductor design teams, such as RTL source files, timing constraints, floorplan definitions, and parasitic extraction data. Our AI agents use these materials only to provide layout, verification, and refinement outputs. We will not use submitted design files or chip intellectual property to train machine learning models without your explicit written consent.

The Company is based at 333 West San Carlos Street, Suite 600, San Jose, CA 95110, and can be reached at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Send

We collect information you submit directly, including:

  • Contact information, including name, work email, and phone, provided through an early access request, direct inquiry, or update subscription;
  • Optional company and project details, such as employer, role, target process node, design scope, and tape-out schedule;
  • Chip design files and associated materials sent to the Platform during early access, including RTL source files (.v/.sv), timing constraint files (.sdc), floorplan definition files (.def), parasitic extraction data (.spef), and technology library files (.lib/.lef);
  • Messages, support inquiries, and feedback you choose to send us.

2.2 Information Collected by Default

Use of architcetlabs.com or the Platform causes us to collect a small amount of technical data automatically:

  • IP address and approximate city or region;
  • Browser, operating system, and device;
  • Visited pages, URLs, and page time;
  • Agent session metadata, including job identifiers, place-and-route iteration counts, DRC violation category totals, and timing closure metrics. These records help monitor Platform health and improve agents, but exclude design file content;
  • Cookies and similar identifiers, see Section 5.

2.3 No Knowing Collection from Children

architcetlabs.com is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly gather their personal information. If you believe a child sent us information, email [email protected] and we will remove it.

3. Information Use

We apply collected information to:

  • Run the Platform by processing submitted chip design files into layout outputs, DRC and LVS reports, static timing analyses, and agent refinement recommendations;
  • Improve the Service by reviewing aggregate agent session metadata, not design file content, to improve place-and-route iteration quality, violation detection accuracy, and refinement heuristics;
  • Communicate with you about early access inquiries, onboarding assistance, service updates, and marketing messages where consent is required;
  • Protect integrity: detect, investigate, and prevent unauthorized access or abuse;
  • Meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information for monetary value. If state law classifies an advertising arrangement as a "sale" or "share," consult the section for your state below.

4. Information Disclosure

We share personal information only with:

  • Contracted providers that support us, including cloud infrastructure providers, email delivery services, and analytics tools, subject to confidentiality duties. Infrastructure providers handling design files and verification artifacts must follow strict data-processing agreements;
  • Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property;
  • A successor organization after a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information or chip design intellectual property to third parties. Design files, netlists, constraint files, and verification artifacts are disclosed only to infrastructure providers that process them for you and on your behalf.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Cookies and similar tools operate the site, retain preferences, and measure use. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.

6. Keeping Data

We keep personal information for the period needed for the stated purposes, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. The applicable periods are:

  • Contact and marketing records: inactive contacts are removed after 24 months;
  • Chip design files and verification artifacts: kept throughout your active account and for 30 days after account termination or program completion, then permanently deleted unless you ask for earlier deletion;
  • Agent session logs, including job metadata, iteration records, and DRC category counts: kept for 12 months after account termination for debugging and audit requests, then deleted;
  • Server access logs: kept for 90 days, then aggregated.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical measures intended to safeguard personal information and chip design intellectual property. These include TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for design files, storage separation between customer accounts, and least-privilege controls for agent compute environments. No system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be promised.

8. Your Rights

Your jurisdiction may provide rights such as access, correction, deletion, and limits on certain processing. Send requests to [email protected]. We will reply within the period required by applicable law.

9. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

The California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") give California residents rights concerning personal information collected about them. This California section supplements the Policy.

9.1 Collected Categories

During the past 12 months, we collected these categories identified in Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140: identifiers, including name, email, and IP address; professional or employment-related information, including company, role, and design team context; commercial information, including service inquiries and account tier; internet or other electronic network activity, including browsing on architcetlabs.com and agent session metadata; and inferences based on these categories for service-improvement purposes. Chip design files and verification artifacts submitted through the Platform support B2B service delivery. If those materials contain personal information, it is included in the identifiers and professional information categories described here.

9.2 Sources, Uses, Disclosure

We receive this information from you and from automatic instrumentation on the Site. We use it to run and improve the Service, communicate with you, and satisfy legal duties. Disclosure is limited to contracted service providers and legal authorities when required.

9.3 Your CCPA / CPRA Rights

  • Right to Know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
  • Right to Delete: request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: we do not sell personal information; we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under CPRA.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive PI: we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted without authorization.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a right.

9.4 How to Submit

To make a verifiable request, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request." Include enough detail to verify you are the person connected with the request. We respond within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension and notice.

9.5 Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. The agent must provide proof of authorization; we may also require you to verify your identity directly.

9.6 "Shine the Light"

California Civil Code §1798.83 entitles California residents to request information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information for third-party direct marketing.

9.7 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §22575), we disclose how we respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, we do not currently respond differently to them. We do not authorize third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across different websites when you use the Service. We honor an opt-out preference signal sent by a platform or browser that complies with the CPRA, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC); when we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser or device.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised periodically. When changes are material, we will show a new "Last updated" date and may also post a notice on the Service.
